Sildenafil Jelly Information on Uses
Sildenafil jelly is a jelly solution for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction, often called impotence.
How is Sildenafil Jelly Taken
For most patients, Sildenafil Jelly should be taken once a day as needed. In patients taking certain protease inhibitors (such as for the treatment of HIV), it is recommended to not exceed a maximum single dose of 25 mg of Viagra Jelly in a 48-hour period.
Sildenafil Jelly Drug Class and Mechanism
Sildenafil Jelly increases blood flow to the penis allowing more blood flow into the penis like happened naturally when a man is sexually stimulated. With more blood flowing in and less flowing out, the arteries in the penis enlarge resulting in an erection.
Sildenafil Jelly Information on Missed Dose
Sildenafil Jelly is used as needed, so you are not likely to miss a dose. If you miss a dose of sildenafil jelly, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Sildenafil Jelly Information on Storage
Keep sildenafil jelly in its original container. Store at 25 degrees C (77 degrees F); excursions permitted to 15-30 degrees C (59-86 degrees F).
Sildenafil Jelly Warnings/Precautions
Before you start any treatment with Sildenafil Jelly, be sure to ask your healthcare provider if your heart is healthy enough. If you're a man who uses nitrate drugs, like nitroglycerine, never take Sildenafil Jelly.
The combination of Sildenafil Jelly and nitrates can make your blood pressure suddenly drop to unsafe levels. You could get dizzy, faint, or even have a heart attack or stroke. Nitrates are found in many prescription medications that are used to treat angina (chest pain due to heart disease). If you are not sure if any of your medications contain nitrates, or if you do not understand what nitrates are, ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist.
